Hello blogger friends, are you ready for another super easy craft project! Things have been pretty busy on the homefront with the renovation and all, so to give myself a little break from time-to-time I've been crafting, but only doing projects that are really quick and easy. I'm calling it my stress-free crafting breaks. :-)
For this project you first need to gather some supplies: fabric, felt, a few scrapbooking embellishments and an embroidery hoop.
Cover your embroidery hoop with some pretty fabric and cut out a pendant banner shape from the felt. I cheated a little and used a die to cut my banner, but the pendant is a pretty easy shape which could be easily cut by hand. Then using some fabric glue I glued down the felt pendant to my hoop.
Next you'll want to find a few fun scrapbooking embellishments to decorate the rest of your hoop. For my hoop I used a wood veneer "hello" word bubble (from Studio Calico) and crochet bird applique I bought from Little Margie on Etsy. Adhere your embellishments and your done!
Isn't that the easiest craft project ever! The decorating possibilities are really endless - just bust open your scrapbooking embellishment drawer and collect all those fabric scraps hanging around ~ and you could create a wall of embroidery hoop art in no time!
Now onto some total randomness, I just bought this book off Amazon a couple of weeks ago and I'm loving all the quick and easy sewing ideas! I think I'll be pulling out my sewing machine this weekend to tryout a project...or two...and I'll be sure to keep you posted if I have some success. :-)
So how about you, do you have any quick and easy craft projects to share or maybe a great craft project book that I should try out? Do tell!
Have a great weekend everyone!
