Just Stampin' Around

Hi there friends! I haven't been creating with my stamps as much as I would like and have really missed it. So today I pulled out my PTI Bird Watching stamp set and created a couple of cards.

I had so much fun creating these cards that my New Year's goal is to stamp much more often. Don't get me wrong I love my pattern paper, but clean and simple stamped cards are so much fun to create.

 

Any big plans for New Years Eve? My DH and I are just going to kick back at home and have a quiet night in front of the TV. We have a ton of movies from the Christmas break that we still haven't watched so I am sure a movie will be on the evening's agenda.

A JBE Ribbon Challenge

This week's Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge is all about ribbon! How fun is that and totally my kind of challenge. For my DT card I decided to make a ribbon flower from some satin May Arts ribbon and following my Basic Grey kick I just had to use their papers.

Hello there...I'm Back!

Hi my friends! I sure hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas with family and friends. Ours was just perfect! We had a pretty quiet Christmas and it was so enjoyable. I'll have to share some pictures once I edit through the 100+ pics I took. I went a little camera crazy this year.

Anyways, I just wanted to pop in quickly to post a couple more Basic Grey cards. Have I told you how much I love Basic Grey papers!!

The buttons and sentiment on the first card are from PTI and the twine is from my shop! And that lovely butterfly die is from Spellbinders, which you can find here.

My second card uses some yummy black crochet ribbon and more PTI buttons.

Question for you, I've noticed a lot of fellow bloggers including a complete list of their card's products at the bottom of their posts, and was wondering if this is something I should be doing? Would you find it helpful if I included a complete supplies list with each card? Just let me know!

Merry Christmas To All

Hello Friends, I just want to pop in to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Thinking everyone has seen just about enough Christmas cards by now, I thought I would share a couple of bright, summery cards to warm the heart. The layouts are both inspired by the lovely Dawn McVey and use the really fun Basic Grey Offbeat papers and my most favorite embellishement, their fabulous fabric brads.  

Have you seen the NEW Delta Series stamps from Basic Grey? I ordered a bunch of these fabulous stamps and can't wait for them to arrive!

Baby Cards and Seeking Your Advice!

A very good friend back home is pregnant with her second child and it has inspired me to make a couple of baby cards. I love making baby cards because everything is so soft and pretty. For these cards I used some of my favorite Cosmo Cricket and Basic Grey papers.

For my second card I decided to try a real shabby chic look. Of course adding the Melissa Frances keyhole really completes that shabby look and the pink twill ribbon adds a soft touch.

HELP! I need your advice. I wasn’t planning on going to CHA this January because my hubby and I return from our Jamaica trip just days earlier and I didn’t want to leave my two little munchkins again so soon. But my hubby is now saying “go”, “have fun”, what to do?? I’ve never been to CHA before so I would love to see what it’s all about but maybe I should just wait to go to the summer show?? What would you do? Are you going? Have you ever been? Do you recommend it?? Any advice you can offer is truly appreciated!

A Little Christmas

I received this Christmas About Me email questionnaire and I usually never play along with stuff like this but seeing how it's Christmas I thought I would give it a try. So here we go!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Both.

2. Real tree or artificial?  Real.

3. When do you put up the tree?  Sometime during the first or second week of December.

4. When do you take the tree down?  January 2nd.

5. Do you like eggnog? Yes, yummy.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? When I was 15 I received my first designer bag from my mom, it was a beautiful black Gucci! Just what every 15 year old needs! :-)

7. Hardest person to buy for?   My hubby.

8. Easiest person to buy for?   The cats.

9. Do you have a nativity scene?   No, but we did when I was a kid.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?   Mail, but this year is a long story.

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?  Not sure. I guess they haven't been that bad.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie?   It's a Wonderful Life.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? In the fall. I like to get it done early.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?  Don't think so.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Chocolate of course!

16. Lights on the tree?   Yes!

17. Favorite Christmas song?  What Child is This.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?   First year we aren't having visitors or travelling. :-(

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's?  Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen. Comet. Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph.

20. Angel on the tree top or a star?   Angel.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?  One gift on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas morning.  

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?  The crazy mall. What do I do with my girls all December?

23. Favorite ornament, theme, or color?  I love blue and white for Christmas but usually decorate traditional.

24. What do you want for Christmas this year?  Just a really fun and enjoyable day for my girls.

25. Who is most likely not to respond to this?  Me of course, but I guess I am in that Christmas mood.

Of course I couldn't post without adding some photos. Here's Christmas at my house this year. You'll see we kept it very simple. The girls are still in that stage of taking everything apart and down, so I didn't want to put too many decorations out.

Happy Anniversary!

This Saturday my DH and I will be celebrating our 12th Wedding Anniversary! I can't believe we've been married that long and together for much, much, longer. He is my best friend and I am so lucky to be spending my life with him. I decided to make a couple of anniversary cards to celebrate the day and just had to use my Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg papers because I know he would love the colors. To soften the card up a bit I added some pretty Prima flowers and Basic Grey pearls.

Using the same papers and another yummy Prima flower I made a second card.

A Birthday Wish and JBE Challenge

It's a sketch challenge this week at Jacksonbelle Embellishments and I decided to change things up a bit and not make anything Christmas related. My blog was in Christmas overload so I have a fun little birthday card to share with you today.

For this card I used some of my favorite Pink Paislee papers from the Sweet Cakes and Enchanting collections. I also added some yummy ribbon, a little bling and pretty Prima flower topped off with a button. Here are some close ups.
